Speaking?
A person’s speaking
skills are vitally important for becoming an effective, successful communicator
in today’s competitive world. Public speaking is the process of act of
performing a speech to a live audiences. This type of speech is deliver with
three general purposes; to inform, to persuade and to entertain. Public speaking
is former and face-to-face speaking. A good public speaking can united people
and caused great change, both positive and negative.

Tips of effective public speaking:
1. ORGANIZE your speech into three parts
Before
going to give your speech, you have to divide your whole speech into three
basic parts;
Introduction- It should be attractive

Main
speech- It should be clear, meaningful, coherent and logical
Conclusion-
It should be clear and crisp
2. Start with a PROPER GREETING to the
judges and audience
3. Make the INTRODUCTION BRIEF but
attention gathering
4. START
your speech with; Quotation, Example, Definition, Humor
5. BALANCE the points to consider all
aspects of the situation
6. EMPHASIZE your arguments but don’t
show bias
7. MOVE FROM one point to another- LOGICALLY
& SMOOTHLY
8. AVOID grammatical faults
9. Use CORRECT PRONUNCIATION
10. Use
the RIGHT WORD as far as possible
Avoid use of big words to show off jargon, slang & clichés.
11. Cite SPECIFIC EXAMPLE instead of
making generalizations
12. Use PAUSES appropriately
13. Speak FLUENTLY
14. Keep your VOICE AT LEVEL
15. Speak at your NATURAL SPEED
16. Walk at your NORMAL PACE
When your turn to speak has come then walk at your normal pace to the dais/ speaker podium.
17. LOOK AT DIFFERENT sections of the audience once in a while
18. Allow your hands the NATURAL GESTURES
they are used to, while you speak
19. Ask
your audiences for ANY QUERIES; some cases it may not
possible
20. End with a word of THANKS.
